Building "Green"
Profex has developed a reputation for it’s expertise in applying the project and building practices listed. However, traditional building and management approaches often overlook the interaction and relationships between the project, its surroundings, its function, and its occupants. A “built” environment can have a profound effect on our natural environment, health, natural resources, economy, as well as our ability to function productively. Typical buildings can often utilize more resource than necessary and generate significant waste streams. Today, buildings consume more than 30% of the total energy and 60% of the electricity used in the United States annually. Billions of gallons of water and billions of pounds of solid waste are consumed and generated annually through the built environment.

Building “Green” is gaining momentum with more and more owners, municipalities, companies, and developers realizing the economic and environmental benefits of doing so. As a result, Profex is endeavoring to provide management and expertise as it applies to our project and construction offerings. Through our experience with recent projects and dedication to exploring and utilizing new technologies and management practices, we continue to build our “Green” tool kit in an effort to better serve our clients in this market arena. At Profex, we take our responsibilities to the environment and our community seriously.

Whether your intent is for the building project to achieve LEED Certification or attain a higher level of LEED recognition, Profex can effectively contribute to your project goals.

We can help your team in interpreting USGBC guild lines as well as LEED credit characteristics as they pertain to construction management, project management, and contractor responsibilities and decision making.
